Water purification is the process of removing undesirable chemicals, materials and biological contaminants from raw water. The goal is to produce water fit for a specific purpose. Most water is purified for human consumption (drinking water) but water purification may also be designed for a variety of other purposes, including meeting the requirements of medical, pharma, chemical and industrial applications. In general, the methods used include physical processes such as filtration and sedimentation, biological processes, a chemical process such as flocculation, chlorination and use of electromagnetic radiation such as ultraviolet light.

The heart of the reverse osmosis system is the “membranes”. We realize the importance of this and strictly design all our systems as per the guidelines of the membrane manufacturers. All Reverse Osmosis systems are designed utilizing the latest generation spiral wound thin film composite polyamide membranes. These membranes have extremely high resistance to fouling and offer the best energy savings achievable globally.
The Reverse Osmosis units are designed in a compact skid with easy access to monitor checkpoints and sample valves. These features come from the extensive field experience that we have in operating and maintaining the plants in over 6 countries. The standard systems are offered with the manual option and field instruments to monitor the performance and necessary safety interlocks to protect the membranes.
Advanced automation packages with the basic version starting from a PLC-based control with auto flushing, with an upgrade to a DCS – SCADA based control with real-time logging and provision for either a wired or a remote communication to other locations. Our automation packages are user-friendly and flexible with respect to data access and data logging. Adequate security features with supervisory control with access codes are also provided.
We provide the latest generation Hollow-Fiber ultrafiltration systems. These ultrafiltration membranes typically have pore sizes in the range of 0.01 – 0.10 µm and have high efficiency in removing bacteria and most viruses, colloids and silt.
The advent of Ultrafiltration (UF) as a pre-treatment for Colloidal Silica removal and tertiary treatment for Recycling plant has resulted in several advantages.

We offer an array of pre-engineered packaged de-mineralizer units and custom-built de-mineralizer to meet individual customer requirements.
Packaged Demineralizers comprise of two pressure vessels in MS / FRP filled with Strong Acid Cation and Strong Base Anion resin respectively. All packaged plants are skid mounted, completely assembled including necessary piping valves and chemical tanks for regeneration.
In this, we offer a full range of degassers to suit the packaged and custom-made de-mineralizer. Degassers, when installed downstream of the action unit, removes the carbon dioxide, thereby reducing the load on the downstream unit. This results in cost savings by way of reduced chemical consumption. Standard units comprise of a tower in mild steel rubber lined / FRP construction along with a blower and transfer pump in stainless steel construction. Additional pump and blowers are offered as options.
Custom Designed DM Plants
To meet specific customer requirements, we have built demineralizers incorporating Weak Acid Cation and Weak Base Anion to handle water containing high amounts of alkalinity, chlorides, and sulfates.
All DM units are available as manual, semi-auto or full-auto options with PLC based control systems. Automatic systems can be easily upgraded to be linked to client DCS if required.
Mixed Bed Demineralizer
Mixed bed demineralizers are used on the downstream of the DM unit to achieve high purity levels in the treated water. We confer packaged and custom-built mixed bed demineralizers. These mixed bed units comprise of a single vessel with a mixture of cation and anion resins and are offered with complete service and regeself-supportive, self supportive skid foundation and chemical tanks for regeneration.
Desalination is a natural continuous process, which is essential for the water recycling. If we were to consider rain or snowfall on the ground, which finally flows either into the sea or goes back to the atmosphere through evaporation or percolates into the sub-soil, is a process of natural desalination. Living beings use this water directly from rain or from river, lakes or springs. When the surface water travels down towards the sea it dissolves minerals and other materials and becomes salty. Once it flows into the oceans, natural evaporation removes part of the water into the atmosphere as clouds, while remaining water available in the ocean becomes very salty. The evaporated water from the ocean is restored back to the earth in the form of rain or snow, which again goes back to the ocean and the cycle continues.
A3S Enviro are now occupied in the development and promotion of sea water desalination technologies such as evaporation, reverse osmosis process, and in particular it consumes the least amount of energy with the application of the state-of-the-art technology, (i.e.) Energy recovery booster system or pressure exchangers system and is easy to operate and maintain. It is the most sought after technology for desalination of sea or saline water.
